Midland University Announces Partnership with CDA Slammers Girls Soccer

FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University recently announced a new strategic partnership with CDA Slammers FC in Los Angeles, California to better support student-athletes in obtaining a college education.

As part of the new agreement, CDA Slammers athletes will receive an automatic $18,000 minimum scholarship to play soccer at Midland University upon graduation from high school. The award will be renewable for four years and will have a minimum net value of $72,000. To reinforce the importance of success in the classroom, Midland University has agreed to provide additional scholarship aid to student-athletes with high ranking GPA and ACT scores.

“We are always looking for opportunities to partner with reputable organizations that hold similar core values as Midland,” said Merritt Nelson, Vice President for Enrollment Management & Marketing.“This partnership will provide talented athletes with the opportunity to continue their education and passion for their sport at a cost below that of other private universities in their region.”

Part of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), Midland University Women’s Soccer competes at the NAIA level in one of the top collegiate conferences in the nation.“Partnering with CDA is an amazing opportunity for us,” said Greg Jarosik, Midland University Women’s Soccer Head Coach. “The current Slammers players on our roster have made a significant impact, and we look forward to fostering that tradition through this strategic partnership.”

The CDA Slammers FC is one of the largest, most well-respected clubs in Southern California, with seven affiliate clubs under its umbrella, CDA has consistently produced top tier student-athletes. The CDA Slammers FC has teams in every elite league offered, including the US Soccer Development Academy, Boys ECNL, Girls ECNL, California Regional League, EGSL, SCDSL, among others, sending over 700 players to collegiate ranks, as well as professional and international rosters.
